Pokaru Terms of Service

Scope

These terms govern your use of the Pokaru website, application, market interfaces, account tools, and related services. Pokaru provides software, data display, and transaction preparation tools for prediction markets on sealed trading-card prices.

Pokaru is not a broker, exchange, dealer, financial advisor, custodian, fund manager, or market maker for you. Pokaru does not provide investment, legal, tax, or trading advice. You are responsible for every order, position, and instruction you submit.

Testnet Beta

Pokaru is currently operating as a testnet beta. Test balances, test collateral, and other practice funds have no cash value, are not redeemable, and may be reset or removed. Testnet availability does not approve or imply a real-money launch.

Mainnet or real-value operation requires separate legal, audit, solvency, custody, and production approval. Until those approvals exist, Pokaru is for product testing only.

Eligibility

You may use Pokaru only if you meet all of these conditions:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are allowed to use the services under the laws that apply to you.
  • You are not located in, organized in, or ordinarily resident in a sanctioned or embargoed jurisdiction.
  • You are not on a sanctions list or otherwise barred from using similar financial or digital-asset services.
  • You will not use Pokaru for illegal activity, manipulation, fraud, evasion, or abuse.

The Services

Pokaru lets you browse markets, review rules and data sources, create an account, receive a test balance during the beta, submit Buy Yes or Buy No orders, monitor positions, and request eligible payouts or refunds.

Market pages may display prices, probabilities, volumes, fees, statuses, resolution rules, settlement sources, and other market information. This information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable. It is not an offer, recommendation, or guarantee.

You can stop using Pokaru at any time. Pokaru may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the services at any time, including to protect users, comply with law, respond to technical issues, or investigate misuse.

Non-Custodial Account Model

Pokaru is designed so that users control their own connected accounts. Pokaru does not custody your funds, cannot recover account credentials for you, and does not guarantee that a third-party account provider can restore access.

During the beta, Pokaru may provide small amounts of testnet network currency so an account can submit test transactions. This is a product-testing convenience, not a deposit, gift, reward, or promise of future support.

Risk Disclosure

Risk of Loss

Buying Yes or No can result in substantial losses, up to the full amount you commit to a position. Prices can move quickly and may not reflect the final market outcome.

Resolution Risk

Markets resolve based on the rules shown on the market page and the named data sources. Sources can be delayed, revised, unavailable, or interpreted differently than you expect. Resolution timing can also differ from the displayed schedule.

Liquidity and Execution Risk

Markets may have limited liquidity. Orders can receive partial fills, fail to fill, execute at worse prices than expected, or become unavailable during system stress.

Protocol and System Risk

Pokaru depends on third-party services, account providers, blockchains, indexers, databases, and market contracts. Bugs, outages, upgrades, exploits, or network failures may affect account access, order submission, market data, positions, or payouts.

Regulatory and Tax Risk

Prediction markets and digital-asset systems are subject to changing laws and regulations. You are responsible for understanding whether using Pokaru is allowed where you are and for any taxes or reporting obligations that apply to you.

Fees and Conflicts

Pokaru may earn fees, rebates, referral revenue, or other compensation related to use of the services. Any material fee that applies to a transaction will be disclosed in the interface where practical.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Manipulate markets, including through wash trading, spoofing, collusion, or misleading activity.
  • Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, stale data, or unintended behavior.
  • Use someone else's account without permission.
  • Bypass access controls, invite restrictions, rate limits, or jurisdiction restrictions.
  • Use automated scraping, bots, or scripts that strain the service or degrade other users' experience.
  • Submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.

Privacy

Pokaru's Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. By using Pokaru, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.

Changes

Pokaru may update these terms. If a change is material, Pokaru may ask you to accept a new version before continuing to trade. Continuing to use Pokaru after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Pokaru is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pokaru disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.
